The Process

When it comes to remodeling your kitchen or bathroom, the countertops will without a doubt be the focal point of your design. You want to be confident that you are choosing the right surface for your style, functional needs, and budget. The expert team at Ivey Lane is here to serve as your end-to-end guide through the process of selecting, designing, and installing new countertops.

Meet with an Ivey Lane countertop specialist to explore your options

The process starts with understanding the possibilities we offer for beautifying your space. With so many choices in granite, marble, quartzite, quartz, porcelain and more, the choices can seem virtually limitless. Our team of countertop specialists can help you navigate surface options and design while keeping the fundamentals in mind, aesthetics and functionality.

We offer three different pricing tiers at Ivey Lane:

  • Level 1 – The least expensive, entry-level stones. Perfect for remodeling projects with a tight budget.
  • Level 2 – Slightly more expensive stones than level 1.
  • Custom – Anything over level 2 becomes a custom project. Our team will develop a custom layout, determine the number of slabs required, and estimate labor in order to provide you a more accurate quote.  There are many variables that contribute to the pricing structure.

Visit surface suppliers and tag slabs that you like

The options don’t end once you’ve selected your material. Each piece of stone has its own unique veining and color. A sample can’t capture the diversity between each piece of material. For custom projects, you will have the opportunity to visit one of our local stone suppliers to hand-select the slab that will be used for your project.

Confirm finish details and receive a quote

For all of our clients, after you have picked your material, you will speak with a countertop specialist to choose your finishing details. While the stone itself will capture attention first, details such as edge finishes, inlays, and sealing bring the project together. We also offer a wide variety of sinks in different styles and materials to complete the look.

Once all of the details are laid out, you will receive a quote for your project by the end of day, the following business day.

Final measuring at your home or office

Before we cut your stone, our expert installation team will take final measurements of your home or office. You’ve taken a lot of time to select your materials, and in some cases the exact slab you want in your space. This step ensures that everything fits perfectly.

View your layout

We take one additional step before cutting your stone to ensure that your countertops are exactly as you envisioned. You will meet with our shop manager, Rick Rickman, who will pull the slabs into the shop and show you exactly how each piece will be laid out. This allows you to see what the veining and graining of the stone will look like after it is cut.

Fabricate, install, and finish

With the final design in hand, our in-house team handles the rest, from fabrication to installation to sealant application. We are proud of our craftsmanship and we work diligently to ensure that the finished project meets or exceeds your expectations.

Enjoy for years to come

New countertops are a long-term investment, and our team takes the time to procure the best materials possible, develop a design that matches your vision, and deliver a final product that lasts. With a little bit of routine maintenance, you will be able to enjoy your new space for years to come.
